Box AI + The Wall Street Journal

March 05, 2025

My partnership with Remade and The Wall Street Journal continued with this project for Box AI—though this one took an unexpected left turn. After multiple design rounds, an approved style, and a full set of storyboards and style frames, the client called an audible: time to start over. Unfortunately, scheduling conflicts meant I had to tag out and jump onto another client project. Dive in to see the process—and the plot twist.

Ms. Magazine Documentary

March 05, 2025

Once again, my creative partners at Elastic brought me in to help pitch designs for the interior sections and interstitials of an upcoming documentary on Ms., the groundbreaking women’s magazine Gloria Steinem launched in 1971. I explored a couple of directions—both firmly rooted in reality. Unfortunately, this one never made it past the exploratory rounds yet lives on here.

Death Row Records Documentary

March 05, 2025

My good friend Joe Vaccarino brought me on to help with some interior sections and show elements for a documentary about the rise and fall of Death Row Records—directed by Antoine Fuqua. Having grown up blasting The Chronic, Regulate… G Funk Era, and, of course, Doggystyle, I couldn’t pass up the chance to throw my hat in the ring. Or, more appropriately, drop it like it’s hot.

Murderbot Titles Pitch

March 05, 2025

Elastic brought me in to throw some ideas at the wall for an upcoming Apple TV show called Murderbot, starring Alexander Skarsgård. I went full tilt into the abstract and minimal, pulling inspiration from classic sci-fi novels of the ’60s and ’70s. In the end, my approach was probably a little too out there for the show's tone—but I still love how it turned out.

Sirens

March 05, 2025

Another shot at a title sequence—this time with my good friends at Elastic. This one was for Sirens, a Netflix series starring Julianne Moore, Kevin Bacon, and more. The show weaves in the Greek myth of the siren, luring viewers in with its own mysterious pull. I pitched two wildly different visual directions—some of my best work, if I do say so myself—but alas, neither quite hit the right note for the showrunners. Sometimes, even the best designs sometimes crash on the rocks.
