Jorge Canedo Estrada and Claudio Salas, invited me to join forces with them in crafting shots for an explainer video commissioned by Demo Duck, a video production company that specializes in explainer videos.

Set to an irresistibly cute and upbeat soundtrack created for the film, our design approach embraced a mixed-media style seamlessly tied together by a cohesive color palette. In my initial brainstorming, I opted for a playful, naive touch, utilizing my son’s wooden blocks to construct a faux stop-motion face. I also conceptualized an eyeball leading a class on shapes, a character popping out of a name tag, an illustrated puzzle, a shelf adorned with three-dimensional trinkets, and a breakdancing hexagon.

While Jorge and Claudio took charge of the impressive animation work, the entire film might just have oversold the capabilities of Demo Duck—it’s that good!
