Joe Vaccarino brought me on to craft the end-on-main title sequence for Treasure Imagination, a project from Scott Rice, a local Austin filmmaker. The production was a technical marvel, shot at a virtual production studio where background plates are projected in a near-360º wrap-around. It’s a cutting-edge way to work, allowing almost everything to be captured authentically in-camera.
The story itself is a heartfelt tribute to creativity: a mother takes away her son’s tablet, nudging him to find his own entertainment. A discarded hat on a city bench becomes the spark, and the moment he puts it on, he’s transported into a sweeping, imaginary world that wears its Indiana Jones inspiration on its sleeve.
